With over 45 years in the hotel, restaurant, resort, and 20 years in the glamping industry (before it was called glamping), Mr. Van Doren has been a commercial developer of hospitality properties as well as owner of lodges, fine dinning restaurants, cafés, gift shops and even a limousine company. He has successfully designed and developed off-grid properties in Denali Park, Alaska and other remote areas including Belize.

He is the owner & founder of a Design-Build, Consulting and Management company Executive Hospitality Group founded in 2009. He is a certified Executive Chef and graduate of the California Culinary Academy. Mr. Van Doren has worked in the finest restaurants in the Pacific Northwest including Victor Rosellini 410 Restaurant, Lake Union Café, The Ritz Café, Henry’s Off Broadway plus Kilgore Trout’s in Evergreen, Colorado to name a few.

Mr. Van Doren’s “hands on” experience and all around knowledge of the hospitality industry makes him qualified in every department. From design-builds, land acquisition, permitting, and construction management, every category from start-up to operations as a one stop source of information and proven performer.

His extensive experience covers a broad spectrum of areas that are an integral part of Hospitality, Resort, and Food & Beverage Operations.

He is the Director of Food & Beverage at the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa. His past experience consists of General Manager of multiple hotels at Aimbridge Hospitality, Director of Hospitality at Sipapu Ski Lodge & Resort in New Mexico, Food & Beverage Director at The Sheraton Anchorage, and Tour Ship Food & Beverage director to name a few.

John has also served for six years on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Hotel & Lodging Association and contributed his time in fundraising for the “Make A Wish” Foundation.

John is uniquely qualified as our top operations consultant to increase revenue, streamline operations and guest satisfaction.

Real Estate & Operations

Mr. Merkushev is a certified Real Estate Professional in Washington State and works with a nationwide business brokerage company on sales, acquisitions and mergers.

Sergei has run a successful commercial maintenance & janitorial company in Anchorage, Alaska for 18 years, catering to esteemed clients such as Odum Corporation, Lynden Worldwide Transport, Northrim Bank, Univision Banks, Native Corporations and other high end clients and contractors.

Mr. Merkushev is uniquely qualified in land acquisitions, property valuations, company value and advice.
